2018 is our 6th Annual Food Drive that benefits the Help of Summerville and the Dorchester Senior Center Holiday Food Basket program. These two organizations help those in our community, that are most in need, and you can help them put smiles on faces by making a donation. We will have drop off centers all around town beginning on Thursday, November 1st and continuing until Monday November 19th.
Help of Summerville is supporting seniors and Back Pack Buddies. Their wishes include: food items that can be separated into individual sizes like pudding cups, fruit cups, ramen noodles, single serve snacks like crackers, mini muffins, granola bars, fruit snacks.

Dorchester Seniors donations will support home-bound seniors. Like Help of Summerville, items that are of small portion or single serve are very helpful for seniors living alone. The senior center is expecting to make and deliver between 250-300 "home-bound bags" for the elderly in our community. They also welcome personal care items like toothbrushes, toothpaste, soaps, shampoo, etc.
On Third Thursday, November 15th, donations can be dropped off in Hutchinson Square 5:30-8:30 pm for Help of Summerville and the Dorchester Senior Center Your donations of non-perishable food items are appreciated. Items that are for personal consumption are very helpful for seniors that live alone and personal care items are welcome as well.
