Drayton Hall is a National Trust historic site.  Circa 1738, American's oldest unrestored plantation house is still open to the public and is one of the oldest documented African-American cemeteries in the nation.

Sculpture in the South is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting sculpture through both education and the creation of Summerville Permanent Public Sculpture Collection. Since 1999, 21 pieces of sculpture have been installed

Summerville D.R.E.A.M. (Downtown Restoration, Enhancement and Management) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life in Summerville by enhancing the aesthetic, cultural, social and economic aspects of the Historic Downtown District while preserving the Historic Identity.

What We Do

Affiliated with Main Street SC (MASC) and the National Main Street Association, Summerville D.R.E.A.M. works to enhance Community Identity and pride by providing “hometown” events, assisting businesses with design improvements, building tourism, and marketing Historic Downtown Summerville to residents and guests.
