Summerville D.R.E.A.M. Events
Our community events are the most visible things that Summerville DREAM does. The purpose behind the many events we do in our historic downtown are twofold. First we want to bring people into our downtown area and show off all the wonderful and unique shops and restaurants that we have to explore. Our monthly Third Thursday evenings give residents and visitors alike a chance to become acquainted with our downtown. The second reason for all our events, whether they occur when our local businesses are open or not, is to create a lively community atmosphere and increase opportunities for social interaction, pride and a sense of identity . Events like Red, White & Blue on the Green are designed to foster the sense of “having roots” and “belonging” to a place. In all our events we try to involve the community in as many ways possible!
